Our story
Balkongteam was founded in Oslo in 1998 by Fredrik Granberg and Ola Rask. Before that, they had built balconies in Sweden for almost ten years.
Since then we have sold and built 8,568 balconies, nearly all on old apartment buildings in central Oslo. Many of us have been on the team since 2001, and together we have more than 50 years of experience.
We take care of the whole project: site visit, measuring, drawings, production, installation, clean-up and handover.
Now in Finland – for the same kind of buildings
Helsinki’s old stone apartment buildings are close relatives of Oslo’s bygårder: thick walls, tall windows, narrow streets and courtyards – and often not a single balcony.
Our method was developed for exactly these buildings. The steel balcony arrives in small parts and is assembled on site from scaffolding, so no crane is needed, even on narrow streets.
We are new to Finland, but the way we work and our experience are the same. We are starting in Helsinki.
